Step into Southwood House’s spacious living room via convenient keyless entry. You’ll find cubbies and hanging hooks in the entryway area for dropping off outerwear, boots, and rain gear. Now, go claim your bedroom from your choice of three, plus bonus room with futon and electric piano.

Discover the King Room, with brand new Casper mattress on the king bed, which is flanked by bedside tables with drawers. As on all bedside tables at Southwood House, lamps come with charging outlets to plug your devices into. Wind down to sleep watching the 27” Samsung smart TV. Store your belongings in the closet with shelving and baskets, the luggage rack and dresser. Full-length mirror, too! You’ll love the convenience of the ensuite bathroom with tub/shower combo and all bathroom essentials, such as hair dryer, towels, hand-held mirror, and paraben-free and sulfate free toiletries.

Enjoy the spacious Queen Room, also with a brand-new Casper mattress in queen size, sumptuous linens, along with bedside tables with lamps, drawers, and shelves. Take in the mid-century-modern architecture – especially evident in the bedrooms. Lull yourself to sleep watching the 32” Visio smart TV. You’ll have a closet and shoe rack for storage and a comfy side chair for relaxing, reading, or getting dressed.

Kids and kids-at-heart will love the Twin Room, where a bunk bed with pull-out, floor-level trundle provides three twin-size beds and a glider/rocking chair for grownups to cuddle kiddos and read to them. We can provide a little extra bumper if there is any concern about your kiddo rolling out of the middle bed. Storage is available in the closet, luggage rack, and the room’s built-in shelving.

To accommodate additional sleeping needs, you’ll find a futon (bedding on request) in the sitting room, a multipurpose room with vanity/sitting area and electric piano (bring your own headphones if you’d like to play it). You’ll also find some games and books here, along with all the yard games in the closet. A luggage rack and hangers provide storage.

Once you’re settled in, head back to the living room and relax on comfy leather seating. Experience the bright and airy spaciousness and decorative fireplace with automated fairy lights. Kids will find it enchanting, and couples will love the romantic ambiance! Please note the fireplace is decorative only and does not function.

Enjoy your favorite shows, movies, and sports on the 57” TCL smart TV with awesome picture quality. Access via Comcast Xfinity 60 channels, including A&E, A&C, Animal Planet, Discovery, BBC America, BBC World, Food Network, Home channels, Hallmark, History Channel, Sky News, TLC – plus popular streaming channels via Xumo, or using your own log-ins for your favorite apps. Or, you can play host-provided games. Listening to music with one of two Bluetooth speakers that can be synched so you can enjoy your music throughout the home.

Head outside to explore the outdoor amenities. Kiddos will love romping on the lush lawn in the partially fenced yard. Experience elegant outdoor dining in the huge gazebo with dining table for 6 with both netting and privacy curtains. The gazebo is also a delightful spot from which to view the frequent gorgeous sunsets. Play host-provided games, such as croquet, bean bag toss/cornhole, and badminton. Enjoy a charming seating area for two by the front entrance of the home, where you can watch the world go by.

At mealtime, prep and cook your best culinary creations – or try something new from the supplied Portland cookbook – in the fully equipped kitchen with all the standard major appliances – refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and super-quiet dishwasher. Handy small appliances include blender and toaster oven. You’ll find plenty of prep space on the countertops, along with the cookware, bakeware, dishware, flatware, glassware, serving-ware, and utensils you need to prepare and serve your favorite meals. 

Grab your morning coffee from the Keurig machine with a starter pack of pods. Also available on request are a Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffeemaker or Nespresso machine.

Dine at the dining table with chairs and bench seating with room for 7 with a view of the backyard, easily accessible through sliders. Two barstools at the kitchen peninsula provide supplemental dining seating and are also a sweet spot for sipping a beverage or enjoying a snack.

Refresh and rejuvenate in the common bathroom with shower and all bathroom essentials. Amenities include hand-held showerhead option, hairdryer, hand-held mirror, paraben-free and sulfate-free toiletries. Special bonus is the extremely low shower pan for easy in-and-out access.
